Woodworking is really a fun stuff yet its not any of those easy hobbies. Woodworking requires time, patience, dedication as well as perseverance in order to acquire a great outcome.
There are really lots of people ask how to do woodworking. Well, it only means woodworking is not an easy task. But not today. There are many alternatives and resources just to make woodworking easy.
For me there are only two options in woodworking.
1. The first answer on how to do woodworking is to find the Best Woodworking Plans online and follow the instructions. There are lots of people who are willing to share their knowledge or shall I say expertise in woodworking with just a small amount of money. You know, you only need to pay for a SMALL amount.
Among these people is Ted “Woody” Mcgrath. Ted offers his sixteen thousands of best woodworking plans ranging from chicken coops to benches to tables to center islands and stuff stuff.
His ebook offers a step by step instruction and peppered with image demonstration in every step making it an award winning compilation of best woodworking plans. He also includes blue prints and lists of materials needed.

2. Another option on how to do woodworking is “Do it Yourself”. For me DIY means you have to do it on your own way. No guides, ebooks, tutorials attached. I find it more interesting. Unlike following a plan from other people, doing the job yourself enhances your own skills. Moreover, it could showcase your creativity and show them what you’ve got. The only disadvantage is you are gonna need much time doing the whole process from planning up to arriving at a complete product. If you like to do woodworking your own then you have to follow the tips below.
a. Prepare a Woodworking Plan (Sketch of the woodworking physical appearance). Well, whatever you want to do, you really need a plan. Woodworking is not any kind of simple job so a woodworking plan is really needed. In your plan you have to sketch up the design you wanted to have. Dont forget to compute for the measurement. You really have to see to it that all measurements coincide. Else your woodworking outcome wont balance and is not stable.
b. List all the materials needed with respect to your Woodworking plan. You may want to include the wood, nails, polish, brushes and all the things you will be needing throughout the whole process. Take note, when you do the estimation, you have to put allowance to avoid being short of materials. This way, you will be able to save money, time as well as effort. If you dont have any materials yet, I mean tools to use, you may want the tools I listed here: Woodworking tools
c. After listing all the materials needed, you have to canvass the prices of all the materials needed. You have to compare prices from supplier to supplier to find which offers the most affordable yet quality stocks and supplies. This way, you will be able to save even few bucks. It is also advisable to buy all the materials in one store to save fare if you dont have car. If you have car then you will be able to save gasoline, I assume.
d. Once you have surveyed the market its time to go shopping.
e. So, now. Its time to do your masterpiece. This time, you really have to follow your plan. Dont do anything that is not in the plan. Remember, all the things you have were based on your plan or design. So, it is advisable to stick on your design. Cut the parts in such a way you can minimize wood wastes. You have to cut the bigger parts first and start cutting from corner to corner. When you assemble the parts be sure to assemble it in a balance way. Don’t force the pieces to fit in if they aren’t fit yet. If they arent fit yet, be sure to cut the parts that doesnt fit in a slow and little by little process because when its still bigger, you can reduce the size but if you’ve cut too big, its so odd to fill some wood on it just to fit. This way you will arrive at a very clean product. Once they fit, connect them together with nails then add some paints or polishes.
I have shared a little idea on how to do woodworking. I hope it helped a little.
